Staplehurst Summer 5k Series

This brand new Friday evening series gives you a great summer goal, plus a way to

sharpen up your speed and nail that elusive 5k PB!

The Course

​

The course is a simple loop starting and finishing at Staplehurst Cricket and Tennis Club.  The route is completely flat so should produce some exceptionally quick times.

Race HQ

​

Race HQ is at Staplehurst Cricket and Tennis Club (TN12 0DH).   Parking and toilets are available on site.

The Races

​​

The series consists of 5 races on the following dates:

​

Friday 15th May - 7.30pm 

Friday 12th June - 7.30pm 

Friday 17th July - 7.30pm 

Friday 14th August - 7.30pm 

Friday 4th September - 7.00pm 

​

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female at each race, plus standard age category prizes.  There will also be a male and female team prize, with the first 3 to count. Each finisher will receive a bespoke medal plus finish line goodies.

​

Each race will have a strict entry limit of 150 competitors.

​

The Series

​​

Your overall position in each race will be transferred to points and added to the series league table.  The series winner will be the competitor with the lowest score after 5 events.  Your best 4 results will be used to calculate the series winner, so to be eligible for the overall series prize you will of course need to compete in at least 4 of the events.  Series prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female overall and also for each age category.  The series prizes will be awarded at the prize giving of the final event.  The series league table will be published on this page as soon as each event is complete.

Race Features

​

  • Medals - Bespoke medal for all finishers

  • Prizes - Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female as well as first in each age category and team prize.  Overall winners will be removed from age groups.

  • Parking - Ample free parking at race HQ.

  • Baggage - Secure baggage is available.

  • Chip Timing - Each race will be chipped timed, with the timing chip attached to the back of your race number.  Results will be available on our results page as soon as you finish.  An individual print of your time will also be available from our results kiosk situated by the finish line.

  • Series Prizes - There will be overall series prizes awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female and in each of the following age categories - Junior (15-20), Senior (19-34), Vet 1 (35-44), Vet 2 (45-54), Vet 3 (55-64), Vet 5 (65-74), Vet 6 (75+)

  • UKA Licensed races - Each event will be UKA licensed so will count towards Power of 10/Run Britain rankings.

Please note for online entries a small booking fee will be added at checkout.

If booking a season ticket for 3 or 4 races you will be asked which events you are intending to race, this is to enable us to manage the start list and help us ensure maximum limits are not breached.
